Somewhere beyond the sea.....

Day 2 of our weekend at the beach.

The generations picture.  Luana (Mom, Nee Nee, Grandma Great), Sandy (Mom, Grammy),
Desirae & Natalie

YAY!  At the beach!

Meg and Emily went to see the tide pools and get in the waves.  Natalie and Mommy wanted to join them.

Emily

Aunt Meg caught a crab!  Finally!  Yesterdays toils paid off.

Is he to little too split between the 7 of us?

Sisters, sisters ... There were never such devoted sisters....

Grammy and Ben

Meg, Emily, Natalie and me went off to explore some tide pools.  Natalie loved wading in the pools and getting wet without having to worry about the waves.

Playing!

Conqueror!

C'est la vie!

Then the kids went home for a nap with Grammy and Grandma Great, Meg, Emily and I went for a little jaunt around the town.

What beautiful sisters I have!

Since I saw this place on our first day, I had been dying to go there.  Captain Dan's Pirate Pastry.
And this guy is legit.  Captain hat and everything.
He was even in a newspaper article on National Talk Like a Pirate Day.

This is the apple scone with bacon, caramel and cream cheese.  His biggest seller and I loved it!

Emily got the sugar cookie sandwich.

They also had this glass blowing place where you could create your own glass stuff.  This guy was making a whale in the water. It was cool.  Across the street they were selling some glass stuff.  Pretty impressive.

We had so much fun!  Can't wait for our next girls weekend (with Benjamin).

Such a sweet little succulent crab...

The second weekend of June me and the kids met up with
my mom, sisters and grandma great to visit Lincoln City, OR!
We had so much fun!!!!

Excited for the plane ride guys?

At the beach house finally!

Grammy gave Natalie her first lipstick application!  She is growing up too fast.

We couldn't wait to get to the beach!

We wanted to bring the stroller with us.  It had all the baby stuff in it and some PB&J for the kids.
It was a little hard to push on the sand.

Go Aunt Meg and Aunt Emily!

Eventually we just left it by some drift wood so we could play.

Natalie and her new kite!  She did really good and never let go of it (well, until we got back to the stroller and Mom had to hurtle some logs to get it back, glad we didn't loose her, mom I mean).

We went to this great bay area.  The waves came in really slow like we were at a lake.

The wind was pretty steady and Benjamin was constantly leaking.

I'm FREE!

There were a lot of beach combers.  Natalie saw this man and wanted to help.

He was collecting rocks ... so Natalie found the biggest one she could lift and saying 'I hep you!' to the man and threw it in his bucket.  He was taken aback and said thank you.
But I am sure she crushed some of his collection.

She would have helped more but Aunt Meg rescued the man from her.

Natalie stopped to pet every single doggy.  Daddy ... it's time to get a dog of our own!

Strike a pose.

Go Ben! To the sea!

Grandma Great and Emily

Throwing rocks into the sea.  Just helping create more sand.

Grandma Great and Benjamin

The wave got me, mom!

We had sandwiches for the kids in a paper bag in the bottom of the stroller.  On our way back from the beach we saw all these birds around our stroller.  Turns out they found our sandwiches....

I gave it back to them ... pretty crafty birds to find and eat two whole sandwiches wrapped in plastic and stuffed down in the bottom of our stroller.

We had fun on our first day!

We stopped at a restaurant close by for lunch since ours went to the birds.  The Beach Boys were playing of course and Benjamin just couldn't help himself.

Later that day we came back to the bay.  I had the hair brained idea to go crabbing.  We went to the local Bi-Mart and got all the equipment and then found a place where some 'professionals' were crabbing.  Like most things location is key ... and those crabbers just weren't giving up their spot.  No crab for us but we had fun trying.
